Last updated: 8 September 2026. These terms distinguish between products sold directly by Lamping Parts and marked retailer advertisements that take you to an independent retailer.
1. Who we are

Lamping Parts operates this website as a lighting catalogue and, where shown, as the seller of Lamping Parts own stock. We also help customers locate lighting products sold by independent retailers.
2. Two different ways to buy
Lamping Parts own stock: where a product has a Lamping Parts purchase/cart option, your contract for that purchase is with Lamping Parts and these sales terms apply.
Marked retailer advertisement: where a button or offer is marked “Ad”, “View retailer” or similar, the linked shop is an independent retailer. Lamping Parts is not part of, owned by, operated by, or representing that retailer. If you buy after following a marked retailer link, your contract is with that retailer and its prices, checkout, delivery, guarantees and returns terms apply.
Lamping Parts may receive a commission from the retailer or advertising network when a customer follows a marked retailer link and makes a qualifying purchase. The commission is payment for helping the customer find the product; it is not a separate charge made to the customer by Lamping Parts.
3. Product information and compatibility
We aim to present product names, photographs, technical specifications, stock information and compatibility information accurately. Lighting components can differ by voltage, cap/base, dimensions, wattage, current, control gear and equipment revision. Customers should check the specification against the item being replaced. Nothing in this section removes or restricts statutory consumer rights.
4. Orders for Lamping Parts own stock
An order submitted through our checkout is an offer to buy. A binding contract is formed when we accept the order and send an order confirmation, subject to payment authorisation and availability. If we cannot accept an order, we will refund any payment taken.
Prices, delivery costs and any applicable taxes are shown before the order is placed. We may correct an obvious pricing or product-information error before accepting an order.
5. Delivery
Delivery options, charges and estimated times are shown at checkout where available. Unless a different period is agreed with you, consumer goods sold at a distance should be delivered without undue delay and normally within 30 days.
6. Consumer cancellation rights for distance sales
If you are a UK consumer buying eligible goods from Lamping Parts online, you normally have 14 days after receiving the goods to tell us that you wish to cancel without giving a reason. After telling us, you normally have a further 14 days to send the goods back.
Where the statutory cancellation right applies, we refund eligible payments including the basic standard-delivery charge. We may reduce a refund where goods have been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. Statutory exceptions can apply, including to certain bespoke goods made to a customer’s specification.

7. Faulty, damaged or misdescribed Lamping Parts goods
Goods sold by Lamping Parts must meet the standards required by the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including being of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose where applicable, and as described. Consumers can have a short-term right to reject faulty goods within 30 days, and may have repair, replacement, price-reduction or final-rejection rights after that depending on the circumstances.
Sale or discounted goods carry the same statutory rights in relation to faults as full-price goods.
8. Retailer advertisement purchases
For a purchase completed on an independent retailer’s website, contact that retailer about payment, delivery, cancellation, returns, refunds, warranties and complaints. Lamping Parts can correct or remove an inaccurate advert on this website, but we do not take payment for or fulfil the retailer’s order.

9. Website availability and feed information
Retailer prices, availability and offers can change. We automatically update and validate retailer listings, but the retailer’s live checkout is the final source for its current selling price and availability. A listing may be suspended if its identity, image, price or tracked retailer link cannot be validated.
10. Intellectual property
The Lamping Parts name, site design and original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Third-party product names, brands and images remain the property of their respective owners and are used for product identification or authorised advertising where applicable.
11. Privacy and device storage
The website may store functional preferences, such as the visitor’s chosen PC/Laptop, Tablet/iPad or Mobile display mode, on the visitor’s device. A separate Privacy Policy should explain how personal data is handled. Non-essential analytics or advertising storage should only be used in accordance with applicable UK privacy and electronic-communications rules.
12. Complaints and contact
For a Lamping Parts own-stock order or a problem with information shown on this website, contact us using the details above. For a retailer order, contact the retailer first because it is the seller under that contract.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the United Kingdom to the contract and customer concerned. Nothing in these terms removes mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
